There are some things different about the way Apple thinks about passwords, so there's stuff to get used to. The process of letting Apple fill the password is clunky. It will keep the url of the site; but you don't see that in the browser extension, so you have two steps where 1P had one. Apple I think won't let you have two different urls on the same site, it trims off all the subfolder stuff.

adardis@mstdn.social

Reply to Alright folks, it looks like the #1Password execs aren't budging. on Thu, 03 Sep 2026 00:28:16 GMT

@csk someone shared this how-to guide in one of my replies https://9to5mac.com/2026/02/25/heres-how-to-switch-from-1password-to-apple-passwords/

ehashman@cloudisland.nz

Reply to Alright folks, it looks like the #1Password execs aren't budging. on Thu, 03 Sep 2026 00:27:13 GMT

@csk If you're all in on the Apple ecosystem I hear the password manager is quite nice

ehashman@cloudisland.nz

Reply to Alright folks, it looks like the #1Password execs aren't budging. on Thu, 03 Sep 2026 00:25:44 GMT

@ehashman I actually stopped giving them money a while ago.
