Just today I was seriously thinking this exact thing. I find myself just fucking HATING! the "modern" version of everything from music devices to kitchen appliances & wishing it was possible (which it often isn't) to just stay with gadgets that do whatever one thing they need to, do it well & include not a single digital feature or microchip of any kind...

We desperately need to wind some of this mad "technological improvement" back, because it's just fucking around with things for the sake of it, and totally unnecessary, both for our cognitive load and for the environment.
