I wonder when we'll understand that building the world's infrastructure on the IT we have so far is like building a 100-story skyscraper on a foundation of clay & straw.

Our digital tech is in no way mature, but we've simply decided to let corporations make so much money on it anyway - with absolutely no responsibility (imagine if Oracle had to pay damages for this on a per-byte basis...) - that we have no way to incentivise them to make it better.
