I want to reduce my consumeristic tendencies. After seeing how streaming and media companies control the music and movies we can enjoy, even making older work inaccessible, I admit I was wrong.

I noticed laptops no longer come with CD readers! I've had to keep my partner from tossing a CD player. We've had some difficulties burning MP3s from CDs.

I have started buying more ebooks and supporting the local libraries. It's ridiculous how much the ebook licenses cost for libraries.

I had forgotten what it was to just sit and enjoy listening to music. We bought a bunch of CDs by Italian artists when we bought our house 25 years ago, but we haven't listened to them in a long time. I got tickled today when I realized that I was understanding the lyrics for the first time.

Even in countries where these parts were manufactured.

Books, on the other hand, I've been making sure to buy whenever I read the digital copy and enjoy it.
