The Internet is in many ways a 'safe space' for such conflicts, because no real violence will result; some feelings might get hurt, but that's it. It's an environment in which people have an opportunity to learn some hard lessons about interactions with others BEFORE they make the same potentially dangerous mistakes IRL.

If you have ideas and dreams and projects, you're infinitely above these people and you should know that their words can only have as much substance as they themselves have, which is none, and you shouldn't even give them the power to offend you.
