I need to say goodbye to my dogs and explain to them they need to stay and wait but I’ll be back. And maybe give them a treat. Otherwise they’ll race out the front door completely convinced that it’s adventure time.

But usually full cuddles a bit before and then a bit later just leave without big goodbyes. This helps the animals if theory are anxious of you being gone.

And to wild non-human animals when out in the woods or for walks.
Honestly I'm more likely to do a greet/goodbye for non-humans than for humans.
