<![CDATA[My Linux Mint laptop strangely goes black screen for a few seconds every few minutes.]]>My Linux Mint laptop strangely goes black screen for a few seconds every few minutes. I can sometimes still move the cursor but everything seems frozen. I've tried searching for this problem, but haven't been able to find a description that fits my bill. The problem seems to come out of the blue, then goes away for a while, then comes back. Any advice?

Also the screen is not totally blank - for example, the cursor is still there and sometimes part of the bottom panel.
