Well, yeah - the despot's plan is always to take over the world & they always try to do it by collaborating with other despots, each of them with the intent of turning on the others after defeating the rest of us & becoming the Ultimate Ruler️.

No surprises there, in other words - but it would be just peachy if we could start to learn from history just a little bit & stop repeating it.
