For complicated museum reasons (and just because I was curious) I was looking in the archive for an exhibition held in 1995. If you were press you could apparently get a 35mm negative as a handout.

Duplication processes for these were more common (using special "internegative" films). Slide film was also much more usual for print production processes at the time.
