There's nothing to gain by "sticking to solutions" when the other side will just scream that they will bring even better solutions to anything you say, with no care if what they're saying is even possible, because they never intend to carry through anyway.

Best case, you end up having to refute their lies over & over, which is also an anti-position - might as well just go there to begin with & with your own agenda, rather than theirs.

The money is too entrenched for an election to fix anything.
