And sadly many influential organizations in that space are not up to the task for putting their foot down.

Most of them will excuse themselves with a variation of "but I'm apolitical" which is ridiculous: for most of them, to remain silent IS a political choice, and one with heavy consequences to a huge part of society. In fact, they're "apolitical" only about topics that do not affect THEM directly, which tells a lot about THEIR believes.

In his blog post about London, DHH described a march organised by Tommy Robinson as "heartwarming". Tommy Robinson is a right-wing figure in the UK, considered too right-wing by Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform political party (the UK's equivalent of MAGA). What a timeline we live in.
