      @FediTips Hello, I have concerns with some instances (not mine) rejecting deletes from some users/instances even though I set automated post deletion to 2 months (to remove outdated content), I know some instances do it for transparency purposes, but... doesn't it also disrespect someone's wishes to delete their own content without it showing up on a random instance for people to still comment on it like it's still relevant? (I have not had this happen to me, but I have read some reports)

        Instances generally do respect deletion requests. It's rare that they don't delete.

        If an instance is not deleting federated posts, you might want to ask the admin of the remote instance if they are aware of this failure. It may be a technical fault that they can correct.

        If the remote admin refuses to fix the problem, you might want to tell your own instance admin about it and they may take action regarding the remote instance such as limiting or suspension.
