It's just that just "Open Source" absolutely doesn't cut it. Software *HAS* to be free/libre to prevent corporations from hijacking the project / infrastructure.

I want european software to be open source and to respect users freedom (libre). I want it to be a good career path, and something you can build a business on. I believe it is possible, but will require substantial support from the EU to be sustainable. It would require money spent on open source instead of big tech platforms. It would require effective enforcement of open source software licenses. Among many other things.
