Push a targeted race and married women out of the workforce. Count their absence as recovery. Freeze wages, dissolve the unions, cap dividends and route profits into rearmament as "growth."

By 1937 that meant "full employment" with a falling wage share and an acute shortage, which meant //forced labor// after 1938.

Dachau opened in a disused factory. Precedent goes back even farther. Here's some American history the Americans never study or talk about:

Zyklon B is what "America First" poured on Mexicans at the El Paso border crossing in the 1920s. German scientists cited this approvingly in 1938, three years before the same gas went into Auschwitz. Intent was never hidden: the Münchener Post exposed the Nazi "Endlösung" plan on 9 Dec 1931 a full year before he seized power.

That's what MAGA is (1900s America First), but it goes back further. The first concentration camps?

Cherokee stockades of 1838 held some 13,000 people before a march that killed a quarter of them. That's by Jackson, who Trump calls his favorite President, even more than President "America First" KKK Wilson. And then the Slaveholder Rebellion Confederacy built concentration camps too, refused Black Union soldiers POW status: murdered or forced labor, 1863.

Hitler cited the clearing of the natives and the 1924 immigration law as his model, and called Ford his inspiration for antisemitism. He named his personal train the Amerika. He believed he would simply do for Germany what Jackson, Wilson and Ford had done for America.

flyingpenguin@infosec.exchange

Reply to As a German historian, I'm looking at the 1933–38 playbook. on Tue, 08 Sep 2026 09:36:22 GMT

@flyingpenguin the US already has a network of Labour Camps, they just call them "prisons"

witewulf@cyberplace.social

Reply to As a German historian, I'm looking at the 1933–38 playbook. on Mon, 07 Sep 2026 20:53:32 GMT

The first camps were all shells of industry... an Oranienburg brewery, an Osthofen paper factory, a Kemna cotton mill, a Bremen freighter.
