That's why they are paying now  "mainstream" ie old media to pump this nonsense.<br />And even if such an algorithm existed for more than a microsecond, it would be utterly useless to anyone trying to control its owner.</p><p>&gt; and give users the ability to control how they work</p><p>This could somehow be done, but it would hamper their bottom line too much.  And their ability to micromanage social moods.
