I also struggle a lot with going into a complete automatism forgetting to be due to ~various issues~. E.g. it's not good for me that phones are so easily accessible and useable. I spent so much more time on them than I want, 'cuz "hmh I wonder this or that" turns quickly into hours lost.</p><p>With activities that require a bit of time or focus, this isn't rly an issue. I  disagree, but I understand the sentiment.</p><p>So, I grind my coffee by hand, one cup at a time. It really does limit my consumption, since it has become a *focused* activity, not incidental. I notice it in the kitchen for example.
