Because even though most of the money circulating in this massive grift is speculative, each of these men are still able to siphon off a LOT of very real wealth into their own personal coffers as long as the grift keeps going - money they will *not* loose when the bubble pops, because they're not personally on the hook for any of this.

Because they win either way.
