Cult-like, perhaps it is a cult. I've not dealt with one ever. But, from the bit I know and read about them, this certainly falls into that category as well.

But living here, with a metric tonne of fuckwits walking around with orange lips from kissing ass and a red hat to shield their brain from thinking, I have to say there is clearly something like a sunk cost on decision making that only reinforces a raging protection on that sensitive ego making a really bad choice.

We fuck up, we need to admit it to learn and grow. Doubling down on being wrong 'appears' like the DKE.
