I’m looking for a reusable water bottle with certain characteristics, and am hoping for some recommendations:

Made of stainless steel, or another long-lasting, non-degrading material that doesn’t change colour or absorb the flavour of the drinks inside

You would trust it not to leak in your bag

Supports both hot and cold drinks

Has a straw

Individually replaceable difficult-to-clean parts (e.g. straw, mouthpiece)

Bonus points if these parts are sold separately

Extra bonus points if there are interoperable multiple vendors for these parts! (not sure if that’s realistic, but I’ll include this anyway :))

Easy to clean, either by hand or in the dishwasher

Sold in the UK

And of course, that lasts a long time!

I’d ideally like one with all of these characteristics, but feel free to comment bottles that don’t match perfectly, in case that’s useful to others.

I wonder if that statement about them not being dishwasher safe is for the former. I bet the stainless steel options are dishwasher safe.

Their replacement parts are pretty spendy on their .com web store (shipping is brutal) but people sell them retail or used on eBay.

The 2-1/4" wide-mouth lids from Nalgene, MSR, Klean Kanteen, Hydro flask and Camelbak usually share the same thread pitch but don’t always seal.correctly on the top gasket in all combinations. However there is some brand interoperability but its something you need to test for leaks.

I recommend a silicone sleeve bumper on the bottom to prevent dents.

Another good brand is Yeti but they use all proprietary lids and standards. I think the wall thickness on Yeti is possibly the highest making them super durable.

Thank you for your inquiry. Zojirushi America’s vacuum insulated mug and bottles and their parts are not dishwasher safe. We advise handwashing the products and parts with warm water, mild liquid dish detergent, and a soft sponge.
I’ve noticed very few (if any) vacuum bottles are actually dishwasher safe.

The straw lids come apart very easily for cleaning, and each of the parts is separably replaceable. When my partner needed to replace the silicone mouthpiece but couldn’t find it on the website, we just emailed their support and they were more than happy to send us a replacement free of charge.

I’ve had a pair of these for I dunno 7-10 years possibly, and from a quick search it looks like they may be sold in the UK. https://mythermoflask.com/products/thermoflask-insulated-stainless-steel-4-lid-combo-pack-40oz-1-1l-2-pack
I believe they fit all your criteria and are “wide mouth” universal lids (have put some on from Klein Kanteen and others)

I’ve had a very similar one for about 15 years. The bottom goes into the bottom of the dishwasher and the top goes into the top almost every night. Cold drinks stay cold all day, ice cubes don’t melt all the way, and hot drinks stay so hot you have to remember to be careful even in the evening. The model I have has very few parts (2 plastic top parts, 2 gaskets and the bottom. I’ve replaced the gasket once about 5 years ago.
