<![CDATA[Do we have any camera nerds out there?]]>Do we have any camera nerds out there? I've got two Nikon 1s (don't snigger, I love them) and they're both unusable at the moment - one has an unpleasantly terminal dark red screen when fired up, the other one objected to me inserting the wireless adapter the other day for the first time in several years and is now insisting that the clock has been reset, but won't let me actually reset it.

I haven't got either the money or the desire to replace them (I've got several of the nicer lenses that go with them, for a start), so I'd really like to find some way to repair them, if possible.

Any suggestions? I'm in Sweden, if that makes any difference.

i came across this post - it applies to the Nikon 1 V1 - not sure which version you have however:

halfway down are photos of the internal battery. if the camera was left unpowered for a long time, the internal battery might have degraded so much that it will not recharge anymore.
