She is around 50 and uses a wheelchair. According to her and other witnesses, a police officer stood nearby eating a sandwich. Asked to intervene, he replied that he was “a traffic officer”—street-violence was not his department. The lesson: before you are brutalised, make sure that it is right police department that is nearby.
