Does anyone have any good strategies to avoid the burning in your fingertips after cutting chili? (Besides putting on gloves, which is too inconvenient for me)

So literally putting oil on my fingers before touching chilli makes it easier to clean of.

Then I can chop the chilli without really getting the juices on my fingers
