@nuculabs @zeh @pelle No it isnt its taking inspiration from similar decentralised apps like https://briarproject.org/ Garda de fier has 6 interlocking lines simplex has 4 and at a different angle, the interlaced lines logo is a common motif for decentralised applications to represent interconnectness. Evgeny is a terrible person but his app is not censorable or controllable in any meaningful way: simplex relays cannot see what rooms you're in or who shares them with you, nor ur ip

because the creator is bad when that creator stands to gain very little from ur using it. At the end of the day if it becomes a problem it can and should be forked, it should be forked now, I dont like that someone liek taht profits at all from this someone should fork it and kick him out -

because the creator is bad when that creator stands to gain very little from ur using it. @pelle @nuculabs @zeh It isn't a plaform or a bar at all thats where I'm confused its a tool to create spaces over which evgeny has no technical control, I'm confused as to what harm if any comes from using it. If he changes the source code to actually have real control then it will be forked that is the problem I was alluding to

yes, the bar analogy isn't appropriate here. a protocol and messaging tool isn't a space and we shouldn't give up on a communication tool just because the main dev is horrible.
we should be very mindful of the community around it, though, and of anything in the tool that makes it unfit for our use. there is also the problem of making the collective effort to change to it and then finding the need to fork for some reason. will we have the capacity to do it.
