If you could... Would you like an about three metres long snake shaped magical companion to either hang out at home or follow you everywhere you go? Free of the usual snake constraints of having to eat small rodents, shedding, being warm, hibernating when cold, being very venomous, being invasive if released etc... The only downside would be the rather a lot of snake, possibly terrifying some people. It would mostly be content to think its opaque reptile thoughts and constantly wrap itself around you and possibly anything else nice and warm it can find.

While having the companion be magically low-maintenance and not an invasive risk definitely makes it a more accessible option… I’ve never been keen on keeping them as pets myself? I guess I just prefer seeing them interact with a more natural environment more.

Maybe if I also had a magical pocket dimension self-maintaining greenhouse?

Used to follow some snake and reptile education channels and always had to stare into the distance a little bit when they'd just straight up fridge the hibernating snakes for weeks or months sometimes, because they biologically needed a cold nap...
