Would you like an about three metres long snake shaped magical companion to either hang out at home or follow you everywhere you go? Free of the usual snake constraints of having to eat small rodents, shedding, being warm, hibernating when cold, being very venomous, being invasive if released etc... The only downside would be the rather a lot of snake, possibly terrifying some people.
