Ich habe mir einen Account auf pixelfed.de angelegt, indem ich mich mit mit meinem social.cologne-Account registriert habe: https://pixelfed.de/surfguard.socialcologne

Jetzt habe ich festgestellt, dass es auf pixelfed.de schon einen Account gibt, der offensichtlich automatisch angelegt wurde und alle Bilder, die ich hier poste, abbildet: https://pixelfed.de/i/web/profile/508536794492910145 (Gleiches gilt für die Accounts auf mastodon.social und lolcircle.de.)

As far as I can tell you have two accounts:

- Account one is on Mastodon at https://social.cologne/@surfguard and can be mentioned as @surfguard

- Account two is on Pixelfed at https://pixelfed.de/surfguard.socialcologne and can be mentioned as @surfguard.socialcologne

These are two totally separate accounts despite their similar names.

Perhaps you are viewing your Mastodon account in Pixelfed, and it has the same images as your Mastodon account because it is your Mastodon account?

Thanks for your answer that clarifies quite a bit already.

What I'm still wondering about. This is the account I created with the "Login with Mastodon" option using the account from social.cologne: https://pixelfed.de/surfguard.socialcologne

But then there is another Pixelfed profile that I can't even seem to link to, which displays all images from @surfguard on Pixelfed.de. When I copy the profile link in Pixelfed it gives me the link to @surfguard. What is this profile?

You can only use a Fediverse account to sign in on one server, but you can communicate with people on other servers. It is similar to a SIM card on phones, it works with one provider but you can call people on other providers.

Pixelfed has a "sign in with Mastodon" option, but this label is very misleading. It does NOT sign in with Mastodon, it creates a totally new separate Pixelfed account and copies your Mastodon account's name.

Vielleicht kann @FediTips oder hierzu weiterhelfen?

Den konnte ich mir aber nicht anlegen, indem ich mich mit social.cologne anmelde. social.cologne verweigert der App bzw. pixelfed.social anscheinend den Kontakt. Ich habe mir dort jetzt einen Account manuell (Email/Passwort) angelegt.

Kann ich Accounts von pixelfed.de und pixelfed.social irgendwie verknüpfen, sodass der eine Account die Inhalte des anderen abbildet? Ist die Frage überhaupt sinnvoll?

Geht das überhaupt?
und wo kann ich evtl. die Verknüpfung dieser beiden Accounts (auf social.cologne und pixelfed.de) kionfigurieren, ggf. auch kappen?
