      @watchfulcitizen every pizza has the same base. The sauce and toppings are your choice

      Converting that to Linux terms. The base is the kernel. The tomato sauce is your package manager, desktop environment etc. the toppings are your customisations of your profile and apps

      I tried haha

        @beemdvp @watchfulcitizen
        »by the end of the 1980s the vegan pizza foundation had an almost complete menu of vegan toppings available, called AND (And's Not Dominos). all that was missing was a vegan dough. then in 1991, the plant-based bread from an independent finnish baker was distributed with these toppings. the vegan pizza foundation was disappointed that these pizzas were referred to as "bread," preferring the name "topping/bread" for the finished pizza, and they disliked that some were using the term "plant-based" over "vegan," because vegan was more about the animal liberation and less about the taste of the pizza.«
