- A short "username", which is just letters and numbers without any spaces. This is mainly used for mentioning people in posts. It cannot easily be changed.

- A longer "display name" which can have letters, numbers, emoji and special characters. This is mainly intended as a human-readable name that can be easily changed whenever you want.
