Greeting cards in the shops that say: 'Congratulations on your special day, Wikipedian - Happy Wiki Row!' A nicely bound, beribboned book with 'Baby's First Wiki Row' in gold letters on the front where you record the steps.

The project isn't all bad though. In this day and age, it's more important than ever. Lots of lovely smart people too. And the socially clumsy guys actually mostly do their very best. It's just that they aren't great at that sort of thing. So don't take any bullying. 👍

I normally just ignore, but something about it bugged me enough to reply directly to his post on my page. I think it's because it's Wiki. It's about sharing free resources as a community and helping each other in collaboration, so a veteran putting a newcomer down with condescension and territorial behaviour seems counter-productive. If he has a point, it's lost in the way he delivered it and just makes me think I'm not arsed doing more Wiki-stuff.

They have, not for the first time, turned up on my user page with unsolicited 'advice' about how I can be a better Wikipedian and share better photos that meet the wiki-guidelines. If they want to object, I think the process is simple - they can use the content page and be specific and nominate for deletion, then the community (in which I greatly trust) can decide.
