(Most cannot use the high speed DC chargers)<br />2. if gas prices continue to rise, it will encourage PHEV users to seek more charging over gasoline usage. <br />3. Most people with home EV chargers have lots of available time when they are not charging. <br />4. A potential solution would be to find a trusted way to connect home EV charging (particularly combined with home solar during the day) with PHEV users. </p><p>What are the barriers? Prices are usually a bit lower than at commercial chargers, but availability and placement can be more hit-and-miss. </p><p>I know there is quite a number of Airbnb's, vacation houses and the like that uses it to offer charging for their guests, but I think that the scenario where you drive up to someone's driveway and plug in your car is less common. </p><p>In general we have a plethora of commercial chargers available in Denmark. The wiring and infrastructure is mostly there already. You can set a fixed price, a cost based price and allow access only at certain hours of the day - basically you can tailor it to your own needs. </p><p>Monta takes a cut of all transactions, and you need to have an account with them in order to charge from the available chargers (there are both large commercial actors and private chargers).
