That and RFC 9851 now officially obsolete TLS v1.2 It will receive no new features except urgent security fixes.</p><p>3. Any new protocols that use TLS must now use TLS v1.3 (<a href="https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc9852" rel="nofollow noopener"><span>https://</span><span>datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/</span><span>rfc9852</span></a>).</p><p>4. All federal systems MUST support TLS v1.3 or later by Dec 31, 2030.</p><p>5. Federal contractors and federal high-value assets must be post-quantum cryptography compliant by Dec 31, 2030 or sooner.</p><p>6.
