I finally re-found this study I read a few months ago, that deserves a lot more attention. It is, in fact, the main reason we should be moving away from big-tech social media: it shows more right-wing content than left-wing content, no matter the political leaning of the user.

Propaganda works. See more of something and you start believing it. And they know it.

My kids block right wing parties and politicians regularly, but they keep popping up on insta and tiktok.

No one is going to argue about improving health care, removing money from politics, etc
