Sustainable, solar-powered neighborhood-level data centers built on trash compute (or other commodity hardware).

Local backups, photo hosting, shared DVD + Blu-ray libraries, excess power generation, neighborhood calendars of events + signup not hosted by Eventbrite, forums, encrypted chat. The possibilities are endless, and I would love to do this and help wrest control of our communities from the billionaires

Tons of trash compute, now with the start of solar backing it up

Plan is to make this more sustainable and repeatable for myself with further infrastructure as code and documentation while writing about it in as much detail as I can

It's a complete mess currently, but pulling some order out of the chaos is a goal, even if I get 2-3 hours a week to work on it
