If I run into a use case for it(and an AI with acceptable ethics, that's the hard part), the LibreOffice plugin architecture lets me add some AI.

There's really no good reason to pollute the core application with it. Maybe some use cases could benefit from some tighter integration, but that's a reason to look at the plugin system, not throw a peripheral feature in alongside editing and formatting features. Hey, other plugins might benefit from that too!

So that brief exploration of OO didn't even get as far as a download.

But 1M *new* downloads for an alternative office suite that does NOT spend BILLIONS in advertisement and does NOT have locked dependent entities the size of US Govt is kind of a big deal.

Plus, those 1M new users usually never go back to MS stuff.

First, @libreoffice is much more than a text editor.
Second, it's not just that we do not need AI in an office suite. We actively do not want a third party to rummage through my private documents.
