Too bad the native editor in iOS also sucks 😫

Sometimes the source footage is vertical. Sometimes it’s a unusual aspect ratio. Or maybe it’s a screen recording of an arbitrary portion of your display. Maybe you want the final product to be square. If letterboxing or pillarboxing is required for final playback so be it, but don’t force me to bake it into the video.

The first video clip in the timeline must be a vertical video clip (like one shot on iPhone). In the project settings, then you’ll see that it’s 1080 × 1920.

I mean, point heard on iMovie— but it kinda seems to me that iMovie / GarageBand are on their way out, leaving Final Cut and Logic. I could be very wrong!
