It’s very inefficient. My EV uses about 20 kWh per 100 km. The fossil energy waste is enormous.

A quick and not so reliable research told me that one liter of gasoline contains about 8,9 kWh whereas 3,5 are needed to put it into your car. So about a third of fossil energy delivered is consumed by the whole process of delivering.
It's been all madness right from the start.

So much of the energy we get from fossil fuels is used up by moving them. Sending generated wind and sun energy through powerlines is much more efficient.
