You definitely shouldn't upgrade. It can be very handy to still have a small lathe around to use when you have a quick bit of work to do and you have a complex setup in the real lathe. I've definitely used my starter HF lathe when the 10x40 monster is occupied, sometimes even for a bit of work to help me finish what's currently occupying the big lathe.

So when you have a complex faceplate setup on the 10ee and you want to quick turn a small part, you'll be glad you kept the old lathe around when you bought the 10ee.

The motor is as big around as a car tire, and it runs almost completely silently. It's also controlled by a giant box of tubes inside that deco end cap on a pair of sliding rails for service. šŸ˜
