It is entirely possible to make a big LLM free from the ethical issues surrounding the AI-bro funded ones.

Those moral objections (theft, power, copyright, climate) are all why I oppose these things.

We were largely all I think opposed to those things anyway. Now that the general public is becoming more aware of many of them it is manifesting in opposition to new data centers.
