The problem is, ever since everyone replaced stainless steel tubs with plastic ones, just replacing the drum bearings has become such crazy time consuming and labor intensive task because you need to lift entire drum, tub and motor assembly out of the chassis. It used to be so much easier before... But it's so much easier and cheaper to manufacture...
