Had to search because I remembered the computer quite well (TI99/4A) but not its color. (I'm somewhat colorblind and don't usually think of things in terms of their color unless I have some specific reason to.)

Of course it was beige.

The basic had computed gosubs and arrays such that I was able to write recursive code. Possibly my favorite code ever was a math expression parser that knew about complex numbers. And filling the 8k with digits of pi and e, using assembly. I couldn't view or use the digits but they were there. BCD for e at least.

Second was a lovely dark grey Amstrad CPC464. Only after that started the series of beige, beige, beige, beige, black (still have) desktop PCs, black netbook, white laptop, dark blue laptop, metallic green laptop
