Already stopped paying for their products after the introduction of that chatbot. Seems like it was a good idea; seeing AI-chatbots as useful appears to be writing on the wall for more slop down the line.

How would it affect my confidence in Proton products? It can't really get any lower. And LLM use is certainly not going to make it higher.

In fact it seems a good fit. The Trump/fascist supporting Proton and the Trump/fascist supporting LLM companies.
