<![CDATA[Hello!]]>Hello! Figured I should finally stop procrastinating and start talking on here. I'm looking for some friends to chat with, especially ones who are into game dev and music making, as I want to meet others while I learn those.

Game development and music making are two dreams of mine that I have started work on learning, but they are difficult and it would be great to have people I can go to for help and chatting with. For game development I am using Godot and also learning Blender and Aseprite. For making music I have Reaper and OpenMPT but haven't learned those at all yet (I, rather poorly, made music for a couple years using Bandlab starting in 2021, though I stopped in early 2024), and I also have a mid-size midi keyboard but don't yet have the space to use it.

I haven't really socialized much outside of a few friend groups on discord, not any other social media, so this is a new experience for me! For a long time I have had only a couple friends because finding spaces to socialize in is difficult and it's awkward trying to meet new people. A bit nervous (and lacking confidence in my social abilities), but hope this goes well!

Yeah, strudel is great to make music from rather simple building blocks. And it's easy to collaborate with it.

It would be cool to actually learn the game dev side. I haven't been able to really get into modern coding though. The last I did was some Java web development in ~2002.

For music making, you might enjoy (strudel.cc) - web-based, free, great documentation, easy to produce great sounds, fantastic, helpful community and you can even jam with other people using the same code (on a different webpage).
