In my opinion, if they were allowed to build it, the data centre itself should not be attached to the grid (I'd allow their on-site offices to be on the grid for backup power.) They should generate all of their own power and it can only be renewables. If they can't generate enough, then tough luck.

It's the kind of thing that makes a person snap and run amok. A last straw. Then everyone says 'guy went crazy because his roses died. What a loon!' 😠
