<![CDATA[Garlic harvest.]]>Garlic harvest. Only half of it because all the drying racks are full, even the Volkswagen one.

Yes, the garden is weedy as fuck. That doesn't matter and may even be beneficial. I strimmed the weeds down to the level of the garlic leaves so I could see it and went digging.

This is winter garlic, planted in October. Voles dug tunnels under the snow and mulch all over this bed but didn't touch a single garlic bulb.

Need to build more drying racks before I can get the rest out. And next year plant less of it πŸ™‚

Then some fence maples got a draft letter and before long were chopped up and nailed to the frame on one end. Green maple doesn't split when nailing, unlike dry sticks. And they do grow fast and furious here.

Can dig more garlic now.
