Giving "the people" some morsels from the banquet does fuck-all to change that the mechanisms of capitalism are burning the planet to a cinder as it grinds human culture to dust - but it does imply that we should be more greedy about it & thus gives us reasons to be envious & suspicious of each other, because what if your neighbor's share is bigger than yours...?
