The one on the left is an album cover and that style was very popular in the 2000s. Especially in cheesy sci-fi shows (looking at you Stargate Atlantis…)

The one on the right though, that’s just what cell phone and cheap digital camera pictures looked like when you posted them on MySpace.

I think you’re left/right confused good at. The left one is the cover of the Evanescence album Fallen from 2003. The one on the right is Boxxy.
