That sucks to hear.
I hope your search stops soon, because you will have found something that fits you!
As an electrical engineer I can only advertise our companies focused on automation. We might also get the contracts and help building data centers, but our own software tools remain being overeseen by experienced software engineeres. Also deploying them at different costumer sites is another interesting job.
