I'm not a Communist but many ignorant people have tried to attack me & call me a Communist because I was born in Vietnam & had family in resistance army against US/US proxy government sellouts.

I remember interrupting an ignorant xenophobic jerkface at age 12 - by city hall. He was trying to tell the public that the government needs to stop the Communist invasion of Canada & to stop letting Communist refugees & immigrants in.
I shouted over him: We are already here! Many of our peoples have been here longer than you've been alive, asshole! We aren't even Communist, you loser! We don't want your job! You're not even employed! Shut up! You suck.I chased him out of Centennial Square, yelling at him, until he jumped into his car. I threw half a sandwich at his car.
No regrets. I'm not built to be quiet around xenophobic jerkwads.
@PhoenixSerenity Being a communist is literally rad though.
The idea is that the economy being used for the needs of everyone enables us to abolish the prevailing thoughts fascist scapegoats (migrants, gays, jews). Commies want to abolish rscism and like freed Auschwitz and so on, so maybe read Engels Principles of communism or something and maybe it turns out you are a commie after all

@PhoenixSerenity
McCarthyism, racism, xenophobia, it's what the US and Canada thrive on. You just being around helps break that, so thank you. Hopefully, in the future, those who scream "communist!" are given a firm kick in the butt and a history book to read.Besides, can those people even explain what communism actually is, and the different disciplines of it, or do they just ramble off dictators? I think the latter.

@karl I support some Commie principles. I'm still an anarchist at heart.

@karl I support several socialist principles too. I'm into growing humanity so more folks lean into more humanitarian works. I consider it as part of our lifelong rent on Earth. We are just temporary tenants on this planet of much abundance.

@mcourcel I am proud of my weirdness

@PhoenixSerenity so true.
And I on the other hand support various contributions and valid critiques of anarchists
Also anarchists have the coolest names -

I am a dyed in the wool red, because I'm of the opinion that's what will work in the end to end the barbarity and cruelty of the ruling elite.
I am not opposed to the philosophy of anarchism on principle per se, but on practical grounds. I see anarchism as a form of socialism, insofar as the planned communities in the 1880s US were socialist.

@onedawnconstant They cannot even define democracy, much less communism.

If the anarchists can indeed abolish the state and capitalism, then I would pose no opposition to it.

@burnoutqueen @karl Everything is branched off others, past & present. I'm only loyal to humanitarian goals at end of day. I have zero other loyalties.

@hi_cial It is shit & I don't put up with that kinda shit.

@alice You probably already know the story of me getting beat up & sent to hospital, after fighting back against a few transphobes who attacked my trans galpal in mid 90s in front of a downtown nightclub. I was screaming at the passive cowards just standing around & doing shit all to help me friend & then doing shit all to help me. I had to fight 3 bigger men on the sidewalk. I fought dirty & smashed bottles on heads. I have zero regrets. I'd do it again. Shame on the passive bystanders - cowards, the lot of them.
@PhoenixSerenity @alice fighting dirty is how you make it out of a real fight, you are a pro??? damn

@PhoenixSerenity I hadn't heard that! First, I'm so sorry you and your friend had to have that horrible experience 🫂 Second, you may be my favorite person now—thank you for standing up for your friend.
I've been in a number of fights over assholes being gross to women or queerphobic to folx in front of me. I can't fucking stand bullies.
