It's one thing for a failed candidate to have an opinion. It's another to broadcast it to the world. Just before an election. Where American democracy is on the barbecue pit if the GOP retain control of the House and Senate.

One could debate the merits of her case. I don't agree with it. Impeachment, as opposed to trial, is about meticulously documenting the plethora of Trump's alleged crimes.

But it's hard not to fault her timing and purpose.

It's a very tricky issue, whether to impeach Trump ASAP. I don't agree that Kamala's opinion on that is automatically deserving of contempt.

Controlling Congress is nowhere near enough to save the Country. That will require:
1. Dismantling one of the World's biggest and best-funded armies - Trump's ICE/CBP, backed by their loyal Air Force.
2. Stopping the Dept of "Justice", backed by a seditious Supreme Court, from crushing loyal Americans with bogus lawsuits and arrests.

3. Untangling the monetary system to avoid the collapse that Trump & Pals have engineered.
4. Identifying who's legit, issuing new Social Security numbers, and purging backdoors and chaos installed by Elon & Big Balls.
5. Demolishing corporate monopolies and knocking "Private Equity" on its ass, to give "Little Guys" a chance.

Impeachment will do nothing to punish the slimebucket. But it will keep Congress, the courts, and the media tied in knots until well past 2028.

Yes there are. And many of them are getting elected to the House of Representatives. There is an impending power struggle between the progressives and the centrists and there will be more progressives, and quite likely new leadership. What folks like Harris, Jeffries and Schumer want is not the final word.
