but I AM going to hold you *personally* responsible for the maintenance burden of the slop and not let you externalize it onto others, to the extent that I am able to do so

@SnoopJ Throwing stuff over the wall and letting downstream sort it out is an anti-pattern bright with dishonor, and nothing new.
I have been watching the Theory of Constraints folks nod sadly at "okay, they get to make an expensive mess finding the next bottleneck in the ecosystem".

@SnoopJ that's what i believed too but have ever just gotten rolled over by Leadership
the maintenance burden seems to only go to those capable of perceiving it
