"A.I. Is Going Rogue. Who Should Be Held Responsible?"
This really seems like a way for NYT and other awful media outlets to make it seem like the companies writing the software and running it on their servers and selling the service are not responsible
Which just like their overt copyright theft seems like another massive exception given
Considering there were laws passed in the past in many countries where you can be held responsible for hosting links to illegal things

The argument is so incredibly flimsy that they need to rely on a narrative that AI is rogue
Bc whats the difference between what they are doing right now, and if I used an LLM to hack someone? I would just need to open up a service and offer LLM access and I could use it as cover and it would be legal?
At this point, Id be more surprised to find out they are not actively using these models to hack to get data they could not buy, or hack to insider trade; what consequences would there be?

@ekis It seems like these are questions that will end up having to be answered by a court of law.
So...like...where are the lawsuits? Why do none of these companies seem to think that's a priority? (I haven't been following it particularly closely, so this may in fact be happening)

The answer to this is so incredibly obvious that we do not even have to discuss…
See you in court for your crimes, mismanagement, evil intent and incompetence.
